Allahabad, July 20 (UNI) Allahabad High Court today imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on a district judge for irregularities made in the selections to the post of stenographers and clerks in Bhadohi district court.

Besides, the HC quashed all such selections and appointments, which were effected pursuant to an advertisement dated December 24, 2003.

Partially allowing a petition filed by Bhupendra and others, Justice Arun Tandon passed this order.

The court also ordered for a fresh selection process in this regard.

Taking strong note of the irregularities made in the earlier selection process, the HC imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the then Bhadohi district judge Sudhir Kumar, who is presently posted in Mirzapur in the same capacity.

The court further ordered for strict action against guilty judicial officers.

Meanwhile, the HC also disallowed the petitioner to continue in his service and observed that the district judge could employ him on daily wage basis.
