Get ready for coming polls, Noor Bano tells Cong workers

Ranchi, July 20 (UNI) Congress Working Committee member and incharge of Jharkhand unit Noor Bano today urged the party workers to work towards strengthening the party at the grassroots keeping in view the coming polls.

Ms Bano hoped the Congress would emerge stronger and asked her colleagues to work with more dedication.

Addressing a meeting of the party's district presidents and representatives here, she instructed them to constitute all committees at block and panchayat levels by August 31.

Ms Bano also said the party cadres took the responsibility of making the public aware of various Central schemes.

State president Pradeep Kumar Balmuchu said it was high time they got ready for the coming civic polls.

Party spokesperson Alok Kumar Dubey said all the 22 district presidents were present in the meeting besides district incharges.

Last week at a meeting here, Ms Bano expressed annoyance over low turnout of party workers asking the state president to replace the important posts with more serious workers.
