EPFO training programme

Ujjain, MP, July 20 (UNI) Fifty-eight officers from Employees' Provident Fund Organisation offices in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Goa, Gujarat and Maharashtra participated in a five-day training programme -- on accounts and computer learning -- that concluded at the EPFO Zonal Training Institute here today.

In his valedictory address, Chief Guest and Ujjain's Income-Tax Commissioner (Appeals) Satish Chandra Agarwal said, ''skill development will help improve self-confidence to provide better services.'' Earlier, Institute in charge and Regional Provident Fund Commissioner P D Sankhala, said, ''the Institute organised 57 programmes and seminars -- for employees of EPFO, PF members and employers belonging to factories and other establishments -- imparting training to 1,427 participants in 2006-07 as compared to 40 programmes with 960 participants in 2005-06.''
