Pathalgaon (Chhattisgarh), July 20: A wild elephant has been poached by unidentified persons in the Jashpur Forest Division.
''Information was received yesterday about the pachyderm's carcass lying in Manora forest,'' Deputy Divisional Forest Officer R S Thakur said here yesterday. The animal's tusks and nails had been chopped off, he said.
