Criminal arrested in North West Delhi

New Delhi, July 20 (UNI) A criminal, who had jumped parole in 2004, has been arrested in North West Delhi, police said today.

Jai Prakash, 42, was arrested from Najafgarh on July 16 by the sleuths of the Crime Branch.

In 1993, he was convicted in an attempt to murder case and sentenced to rigorous imprisonment. He was released on parole in 2004 and failed to turn up.

Since then he had been living under an assumed name in Najafgarh, police said.

A city court has sent Jai Prakash into police custody.
