TN: Conference on Information Security
Bangalore, July 20: Chennai will host a dedicated two-day exhibition-cum-conference 'ISec 2007' on Information Security from August 11 with the theme 'Detect, Respond and React', for the first time in the country.
The event, to be organised by the Southern Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) with Israel as the partner country, would give an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the capability of the Indian IT security companies, SICCI Chennai Secretary P Raghavan said, speaking at a road show on ISec 2007 here last night.
He said seminars on Information Security would be delivered by experts and heads of different IT companies, engaged in providing security solutions to the industry. Issues relating to disaster recovery, e-mail security, ethical hacking and IPR issues would be discussed in detail in the seminars. Besides, stalls would be put up by key players in IT security industry to showcase their capacity in providing services, solutions and security related products.
Mr Raghavan said Israel, the world leader in providing IT security solutions, would support the event as a partner country and top security solution provider companies from that country would participate in the event, to be made an annual affair.
He said IT security solutions had a lot of potential and offered over 50 billion US Dollar global business market in the coming decade. IT security issue had became a matter of global concern as about 76 per cent of cyber crimes went undetected and the rest were detected 'by chance', he rued.
