Call money closes low at 0.15/0.25 pc
Mumbai, Jul 20 (UNI) Interbank call rates ended at 0.15-0.25 per cent as against their previous close of 0.20-0.30 per cent, dealers said.
With supply exceeding the demand for funds, the RBI LAF window received 78 bids for Rs 1,05,210 crore at the 3-day reverse repo auction. However, it accepted only Rs 3,000 crore while no bid was received at the 3-day repo auction.
At the CBLO segment, 201 bids worth Rs. 18,798 crore were traded in the range of 0.01-0.05 per cent.
New fortnightly requirements and auction outflows are likely to keep high borrowings, hence rates could face upward pressure.
However, it is expected to trade easy on account of healthy cash surplus in the market, dealers added.
