BJP observes protest against Youth Congress rally

Tirupati, July 20 (UNI) The BJP and BJYM activists today staged a protest by standing upside down before the TTD Office here, denouncing the unholy din caused by Youth Congress workers in Tirumala hills and demanding the resignation of TTD Trust Board Chairman B Karunakara Reddy.

Atleast 50 activists, led by BJP leader S Srinivas and BJYM leader Bhanuprakash, staged the protest, demanding the resignation of the Chairman and Trust Board members owning moral responsibility for the rally conducted by Chittoor Youth Congress President Patakam Venkatesh, a close associate of the TTD Chairman, in violation of the TTD norms.

The agitators demanded that the Government dismiss the Trust Board and hand over the temple administration to mutt heads.

Besides, the Government should sack Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA) Chairman Chevi Reddy Bhaskar Reddy, who was involved in carrying crackers to the hills during the rally, they demanded.
