BJP constitutes panels on economy and South Asia
New Delhi, July 20: The BJP today constituted committees on Economic Affairs and South Asian Affairs to be headed by former Union ministers Murli Manohar Joshi and Yashwant Sinha respectively.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of BJP General Secretaries, BJP President Rajnath Singh told newspersons.
The committees will advise the party on issues relating to them.
Mr Arun Shourie, another former union minister, has been appointed in charge of North-Eastern states. He was handling these states when he was a minister in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government.
The party appointed its BJP General Secretary Arun Jaitley as the election in charge of Gujarat.
Mr Jailtely had lodged his protest with the RSS the very day he was made in charge of Uttar Pradesh only.
