Bharat Nirman PIC from July 24 in AP : Official

Hyderabad, July 20 (UNI) The second phase of Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign (PIC) would be launched on July 24 in Ranga Reddy district, Press Information Bureau (PIB) Deputy Director General M V V S Murthy said today.

Addressing the press here, he said the second phase of PIC would be organised in eight districts of Andhra Pradesh. The officials of the state and Central governments and ministers would take part in the campaign to create awareness among the people about the development schemes sponsored by the Centre.

Stating that PIC was organised in six districts in the first phase in the state, he said the Centre was getting feedback on the campaign from the people by conducting survey in selected areas.

Interactive sessions with the people, cultural activities and mobile campaigns would be organised. Besides, stalls would be set up to give information on government schemes as part of the campaign.

National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme (NREGP), National Rural Health schemes, Integrated Child Development scheme, Mid Day meal scheme and 15 point programme for Minorites would be covered under PIC.
