Bank robbed of Rs 2.5 lakh

Muzaffarnagar, July 20 (UNI) Armed robbers today raided a cooperative bank in Ratanpuri area here and made away with Rs 2.5 lakh cash after holding the bank staff captive.

Police said two armed miscreants entered the bank this afternoon and locked the bank manager, cashier and peon in a room at gun point.

A manhunt had been launched.
