Advocates'boycott continues
Puducherry, July 20 (UNI) Functioning of the courts in Puducherry remained affected for the fifth day today with the members of the Bar Association continuing their indefinite court boycott, which began on July 16.
The Bar Association members were protesting against the move of the administration to inaugurate the integrated court complex here even before the completion of the construction works.
Lawyers said though it was claimed to be an Integrated Court comples, facilities were available only for a civil court.
The government was planning to retain the criminal court in the present building itself, they alleged and added that there was no chamber for the Bar Association in the new premises.
