85 hospitalised with symptoms of food poisoning

Rajkot, July 20 (UNI) At least 85 people, including 22 children, have been hospitalised for suspected food poisoning here, police said today.

The people started vomitting after they partook stale sweets, which they had picked up late last night from a dump near Aaji river, police sources said.

Unknown people had thrown the stale sweets there, the sources said.

The affected people are residents of Kubaliapara area.

All the affected were responding to treatment, hospital sources said.
