8 workers injured seriously as jeep rams into tree
Ambala, July 20 (UNI) All the eight occupants of a jeep, travelling from Chandigarh to their workplace in Kala Amb, were injured seriously when the chartered vehicle's tyre got puncture and rammed in a tree near Narainagrh on the Panchkula-Naraingarh-Kala Amb road this morning.
All the eight injured people were rushed to the civil hospital Naraingarh from where four of them were referred to PGI Chandigarh as they were in critical condition having suffered multiple injuries.
The other four were admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Those who were referred to the PGI were identified as Kanak Barun Das resident of Panchkula, Deepak and Arvind Patyal of Chandigarh.
The fourth one was driver Arun, resident of Mustafbad Yamunanagar.
Those undergoing treatment at Naraingarh hospital included Mukesh of Chandigarh, Harjit and Ram Chand from Mohali and Sanjay Jha from Panchkula.
They were employed in a private factory at Kala Amb and were daily passengers.
The Naraingarh SDM Ashwini Sharma visited the hospital and enquired about the arrangements made for the treatment of the injured.
The Police has registered a case.
