54 arrested, narcotic seized

Sultanpur, July 20 (UNI) Police have arrested 54 people in raids at several places since yesterday and seized narcotic substances in large quantities.

According to the police, the raids were conducted in Aliganj, Shukul Bazaar, Kotwali and Waldi Rai areas.

The seized psychotropic substances included 'ganja' and sedatives, besides hooch.

A drive against criminals and elements engaged in illicit trade is currently on in the district.
