2.5 Lakh Pilgrims participate in Friday namaaz at Ajmer Durgah

Ajmer, July 20 (UNI) Around 2.5 lakh pilgrims today participated in ''zumma ki namaaz''(Friday prayers) at the durgah of Sufi Saint Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisty on the occassion of 795th annual urs.

It was a sea of pilgrims all around the durgah area as the devoutes started gathering from early morning to occupy their place for the prayers.

The 462 member delegation of pilgrims from Pakistan, which has come to participate in the urs, also performed the namaz.

Meanhwile, a Congress delegation comprising Union Ministers Pritvi Raj Chauhan and Namonarain Meena and Congress legislator Dr Srigopal Baheti offered chadar at the Khwaja Sahib's holy tomb on behalf of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
