2 labourers buried alive in wall collapse

Kolhapur, July 19 (UNI) Two labourers were buried alive and a woman was seriously injured when a portion of a wall of a well that they were digging collapsed on them at village Nandni in Shirol tehsil of the district today.

Some 12 labourers were digging the well when the mishap occurred, Shirol police sources told UNI.

The deceased were identified as Niglingappa Virbhadrappa Sutar (39) of Mutolee in Bagalkot and Ravi Shetu Chavan (24) of Upaldhni, Bagewadi in Karnataka.

The injured woman, also from Karnataka, has been admitted to a hospital at Jaisingpur town in the tehsil, police added.
