18 Bangladeshis arrested
Lucknow, July 20 (UNI) At least 18 Bangladeshis residing illegally in Saharanpur and Ghaziabad districts of Uttar Pradesh have been arrested since last night, police said here today.
Eleven Bangladeshis were arrested from Gangoh area of Saharanpur. They could not produce any legal document to justify their stay in India.
They were identified as Abdul Rahim, Anwar, Ayesha, Mohd Rizwan, Mahnin, Sarwara, Mohd Shahjahan, Khajura, Kalim, Rubina and Shahrukh Khan.
Meanwhile, the Ghaziabad police arrested seven Bangladeshis in Sahibabad area identified as Rafiq Ul, Abbas, Saidul, Munir, Alauddin, Jahan Ali and Mohd Rashid.
None of them possessed any visa or passport, the police said here.
Separate cases had been registered and the accused sent to jail.
However, their link with any terrorist organisation could not be established.
