1.50 lakh devotees pays obeisance to Icelingam at Amarnath
Jammu, July 20 (UNI) More than 1.50 lakh pilgrims have so far paid obeisance to the Icelingam at Amarnath in South Kashmir during the first 18 days of pilgrimage, official sources said here.
Meanwhile, a fresh batch of 1,259 pilgrims left for the holy cave shrine.
The pilgrims, comprising 683 men, 306 women, 36 children and 234 sadhus, the convoy of 34 vehicles left from the base camp at MAM Stadium around 0600 hours, officials said.
Most of the pilgrims will reach the base camp at Nunwan in Pehalgam by the evening for their onward journey to the shrine via Chandanwadi, Sheshnag and Panchtarini tomorrow.
