Tirupati, July 19 (UNI) Alleging that Telugu Desam Party(TDP)leaders were politicising yesterday's Youth Congress(YC) rally at Tirumala, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam(TTD) Trust Board Chairman B Karunakara Reddy today assured an inquiry against the Vigilance and Security personnel for their failure to check the vehicles at Alipiri in Chittor District.

Talking to newspersons here, he denied the involvement of board members in the issue.

Mr Reddy alleged that the earlier TDP regime had committed irregularities when they organised political meetings, demolition of 1000 pillar mandap and proposed Tourist Hub at Tirumala, disregarding the Hindu sentiments.

He said six YC members were taken into custody and produced before the court for acting against the sentiments of Hindus and in violation of TTD norms and regulations.

The TTD Chairman said the Committee members would tender their resignations, if it was proved that funds were misappropriated either at Dharma Prachar Parishad(DPP) or in Kalyanamastu programme.

If necessary , we would form a committee with media to expose the misdeeds, he added.

Mr Reddy said during the present regime the Board had initiated various measures like Kalyanamastu, Dalit Govindam and Mahadwara Pravesam to infant mothers.

He urged the political parties to stop politicising Tiurmala issue. The politicians should refrain from hurting the sentiments of pilgrims, he added.
