Six killed in Ukraine bus crash due to brake failure

MOSCOW, July 19 (Reuters) Six people were killed and 46 were wounded when a bus travelling in the Crimea region of Ukraine overturned late yesterday, officials said.

The injured included 11 children, the Emergencies Ministry in Kiev told Reuters today.

''The problem was caused by the brake system in the bus,'' said a ministry spokesman. He said 26 people, including 11 children, are still in a serious condition in hospital.

The accident occurred near the village of Izobilnoye on the highway linking Simferopol to Yalta.
