Orchid first quarter net zooms 251.54 per cent

New Delhi, July 19: Pharma company Orchid Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd today said it has registered a 251.54 per cent increase in its net profit to Rs 51.29 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2007 as against Rs 14.59 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

The total income of the company grew from Rs 202.49 crore in Q1FY06 to Rs 291.3591 crore during Q1FY07, a press release said.

The consolidated net profit stood at Rs 48.58 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 10.83 crore in the same period previous year.
