Missapropriation case: Inquiry to complete in 3 months: Minister

Bangalore, July 19 (UNI) Power Minister H D Revanna today assured the Legislative Council that the pending Departmental inquires into misappropriation charges against employees in the various Corporations in the Energy Department will be completed within three months.

Replying to a question raised by Mukhyamantri Chandru (BJP), he said that he would issue necessary direction in this regard to the officials concerned. However, no time limit can be given for the cases pending in the court, he added.

He said that there were 104 cases pertaining to misuse of power and financial misappropriation has been reported since 2006.

He said that a case of drawing materials without doing work in Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) had come to light and investigation was in progress. Necessary action would be taken after the detailed investigation, he said.
