Tripura: Minister's brother held on murder charges
Agartala, July 19: The South Tripura district court has remanded the elder brother of CPI(M) leader and Tribal Welfare minister to 14 days of police custody in connection with the murder of a tribal leader.
Police said, two people, including minister Jitendra Choudhury's brother Narayan Choudhury were arrested on Tuesday night for their alleged involvement in the murder of veteran Communist leader and Village Panchayat chief Haricharan Tripura on the night of July 15.
Both of them were produced before the court yesterday before being sent in police custody.
