Mankotia to quit assembly before joining BSP
Shimla, July 19 (UNI) Suspended Himachal Pradesh Congress legislator Vijay Singh Mankotia today said he will quit his assembly seat before joining the Bahujan Samaj Party on July 26.
''I will resign from the assembly before formally joining the BSP,'' he told reporters after casting his vote in the Presidential election here.
Accusing state Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh of sheltering the corrupt and encouraging corruption in the state during his four and a half years in office, he said he was on a mission to expose the corrupt.
Mr Mankotia said a large number of leaders from both the Congress and the BJP were ready to join the BSP realising that their future was with BSP.
