HP approves carton and transport subsidy policy

Shimla, July 19 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government today approved the carton and transport subsidy policy for the present financial year, an official spokesman said.

The subsidy on AIPIL manufactured telescopic cartons for apple would be at Rs two per carton with maximum limit of Rs 2,400 for 1,200 cartons per small farmers or orchardists having 10 bighas under fruit cultivation, he said in a release here.

He said the sale price of telescopic cartons manufactured by AIPIL would be at the rate of Rs 34.50 per carton and HPMC, HIMFED, HPAIC and KINFED (only for Kinnaur district) would be the procurement and distribution agencies for these cartons.

The carton subsidy would be allowed to the growers and the orchardists from April one, to December 15, he added.
