Hizbul Mujahideen commander arrested in JK

Srinagar, July 19: Security forces arrested a self styled commander of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) during a search operation in north Kashmir, a police spokesman said.

He said troops of 51 Border Security Force (BSF) and police launched a joint operation at Bandipora main town today.

During the operation, security forces arrested Bilal Ahmad Dar, self styled Batallion commander of HM.

Bilal was involved in many militancy related incidents in the area and the arrest was a set back to HM, he added.
