New Delhi, July 19 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today summoned the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) vice-chairman and Muncipal Corporation of Delhi MCD) Commissioner to be present in the court on Friday to discuss the problems relating to provision of adequate infrastructure to the lawyers arguing the cases in the court.

Chief Justice M K Sharma today expressed displeasure over the manner in which the court cases were being handled by the MCD and the DDA lawyers as there was no one from the deparment to brief or aprise the lawyers about the cases.

The court observed that the MCD and the DDA lawyers came unprepared to the court, did not have most of the facts of the case and sought time again and again leading to pendency of the cases.

Earlier, on one such occasion when a MCD lawyer had come unprepared to argue the case, Justice Sharma had directed the MCD and the DDA to appoint a law officer or someone from the department should to remain present in the court throughout the day to brief the counsels about the cases. They should be eqipped with all facts and files for the speedy trial of the cases, he added.
