Gunman arrested after injuring one in JK

Srinagar, July 19: In a rare case of bravery, inmates of a house overpowered a gunman after he injured one of the family members in south Kashmir, a police spokesman said.

He said a group of four gunmen entered the house of one Mohammad Yousuf Ganie at Banghal Devsar in the south Kashmir district of Kulgam last night.

Later, they shot at and wounded the brother of the house owner Farooq Ahmad Ganie. However, other inmates overpowered one of the gunman Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh and later handed him over to police.

Three gunmen managed to escape, he said, adding that a massive hunt has been launched to nab them.
