Gemini Communications Q1 net up 150 per cent

Chennai, July 19: Gemini Communications Limited (GCL), a city-based leader in communications and networking solutions and pioneers in the file of system integration, today announced a 150.28 per cent rise in net profit for the first quarter ended June 30 2007.

Income from operations rose by 61.46 per cent at Rs 56.85 crore compared to Rs 35.21 crore during the corresponding quarter last year, a company release here said.

The company reported a net profit after tax of Rs 7.54 crore compared to Rs 3.01 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.

Meanwhile, the income from operation grew 163.10 per cent at Rs 11.65 crore compared to Rs 4.4 crore in the same quater in the previous year 2006.

The order position stood at Rs 135 crore as on June 30, 2007 and would be in receipt of orders for about Rs 100 crore further.

The company would soon launch its new products-WIMAX, RFID and Radio modems, it said.
