World Kannada Meet at Belgaum in September

Bangalore, July 17: Kannada and Culture Minister H S Mahadevaprasad today informed the Legislative Assembly that the next World Kannada Meet will be held in the last week of September in Belgaum.

Replying to a issue raised by Mr Vatal Nagaraj of Vatal Kannada Cheluvali Paksha during the zero hour, he said that the Meet so far had been postponed four times due to various reasons including Cauvery issue in the aftermath of the verdict by its Tribunal.

Mr Nagaraj demanded the government to name the centre where the world meet had been planned in Belgaum.
