Worker killed in accident at actor's house

Chennai, July 18 (UNI) A 50-year-old building worker was killed on the spot and his colleague seriously injured when a section of the compound wall under construction, at popular film star Vikram's bungalow in the tony Besant Nagar Area of the city, suddenly collapsed on them this morning.

Police said construction work on three-storeyed bungalow had been in progress for the last three years. The duo were engaged in work on the compound wall when the mishap occurred.

The deceased was identified as Nagappan of Tirukoyilur in Villupuram District.

Ayyappan (52), also native of the same place, was admitted to the Government Royapettah Hospital here.
