Two women killed in mishap

Bareilly, July 18 (UNI) Two women, including a minor, were buried alive, when a mound of earth caved-in under Aliganj area here today.

The deceased were identified as Soma Devi (40) and Shanti (8).

Two other girls, Chhoti (8) and Mamta (9), were also injured in the accident and were recuperating in hospital, police said.

The victims were digging soil at Gaini village, when the mound suddenly collapsed, trapping the four underneath.

Soma Devi and Shanti succumbed on way to hospital.
