AP: TRS forces adjournment of Council

Hyderabad, July 18: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) today forced the adjournment of the Legislative Council for five minutes before it could take up the listed business, demanding implementation of the Sachar committee recommendations.

Soon after the House met for the day, TRS members stood up displaying placards and shouted slogans, demanding implementation of Sachar Committee recommendations which prescribed reservations for Muslims.

As repeated requests from Chairman S Chakrapani failed to bring order, he adjourned the House for five minutes even as two TRS members, donning placards, entered the well of the House.
