Three policemen surrender in Nawada
Nawada, Jul 18 (UNI) Three policemen today surrendered in connection with their alleged misbehaviour with relatives of JD(U) leader Akhilesh Prasad Singh who was shot by the criminals three days ago in Nawada district.
Police said all the cops who surrendered at Town police station, had earlier been placed under suspension for dereliction of duty.
Two other policemen were still at large, police added.
Earlier the JD(U) leader was shot dead by the criminals when he was on way to his house in Narainpur village under Town police station in Nawada district. Policemen had allegedly misbehaved with the relatives of the JD(U) leader when they arrived at the concerned police station to lodge FIR against the accused.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had directed the concerned authorities to take action against the cops.
