Texmaco Ltd posts Rs11.37 cr net

Kolkata, Jul 18(UNI) Kolkata-based K K Birla Group company Texmaco Limited registered a net profit of Rs 11.37 crore in the first quarter of 2007-08, compared to Rs 4.48 crore in the corresponding period in the previous fiscal.

Speaking to mediapersons at the 67th AGM of the company, company President&CEO Ramesh Maheshwari said the gross sales of the company touched Rs 192 crore in Q1, compared to Rs 105 crore in the corresponding fiscal.

The growth in sales was driven by increase in revenue from the heavy engineering division, which registered 94 per cent growth from Rs 72 crore to Rs 140 crore.
