Suspected hawala money seized, 1 held

Malappuram, July 18 (UNI) Police seized Rs 50 lakh, said to be hawala money, and arrested one person in this connection at Puthuponnani in the district today.

Police said the cash was seized from a car, which met with an accident involving an autorickshaw. Police arrested driver Saifuddin.

The seizure was made in a search following the accident. The car was proceeding to Kozhikode from Kochi.
