Reinstate zunka bhakar centres in 48 hrs: Deputy chairman

Mumbai, JulY 18 (UNI) The Maharashtra Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Vasant Davkhare today directed the state government to withdraw the notice issued to zunka bhakar centres and allow them to reopen within 48 hours.

The direction came in the wake of an adjournment motion given by Nitin Gadkari and Pandurang Phundkar of BJP on the issue.

Mr Davkhare asked the government to give back all the zunka bhakar centres within 48 hours and they should be allowed to reopen the centres.

The decision to open zunka bhakar centres in the state was mooted during the Shiv Sena-BJP government in 1995. However, the state government recently issued a notice asking these centres to close down.
