Presidential election: EC observer reviews preparations

Mumbai, July 18 (UNI) The observer of Election Commission for Presidential election Neelam Sahani today held a meeting with Maharashtra legislature secretary Anant Kalse to review preparations for the voting scheduled to be held tomorrow.

The polling will take place between 1000 hrs and 1700 hrs. Two hundred eighty-eight legislators of the Assembly are expected to cast their votes in the election tomorrow.

The Shiv Sena has extended its support to Congress-NCP nominee Pratibha Patil.

While Congress-NCP has organised a meeting of the party legislators at the Cricket Club of India (CCI) in south Mumbai, Sena legislators would meet their supremo at Sena Bhavan. Media is debarred from both the meetings.
