PMK wants OBC quota in HCs, Apex Court

Hyderabad, July 18 (UNI) Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) Founder-President S Ramadoss today asked the Centre to provide 27 per cent reservation for Other Backward Class (OBC) in High Courts and the Supreme Court.

Addressing the press here on the sidelines of a meeting organised by Andhra Pradesh United BC Struggle Samithi, Dr Ramadoss said it was imperative to provide 27 per cent reservation to OBCs, 15 per cent to SCs and 7.5 per cent to STs in judiciary, he added.

Calling on all communities, including minorities, SCs and STs, to fight unitedly for political power and solve their long pending demands and problems, he said reservation in private sector would solve the unemployment problem among BCs in the country.
