Opposition uproar following rejection of their adjournment motion
Patna, July 18 (UNI) The Opposition members today created an uproar in the Bihar Assembly during the pre-lunch session following rejection of the adjournment motion.
Soon after the question hour, Assembly Speaker Udai Narayan Choudhry rejected the adjournment motion of Shakeel Ahmad Khan of Rashtriya Janata DAL (RJD) over execution of recommendation of the Bihar Minority Commission and that of Sachar Committee report.
He also rejected another adjournment motion of Mr Amarnath Yadav of CPI(ML) over rising crime, specially against the women.
Protesting the decision of the Speaker, members of both parties trooped to the well and shouted anti-government slogans.
The business of the zero hour was taken up amid uproarious scenes and members read their notices, which remained unheard due to the noise.
Later, the members resumed their seats after request of the chief whip of the RJD Ramchandra Purvey.
