One more nomination filed for VP polls

New Delhi, July 18 (UNI) One more person filed his nomination for the Vice-Presidential election today, taking the count to seven.

The office of the Returning Officer/Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) for the thirteenth Vice-Presidential elections received the nomination of Mr Vijay Narayan of Kanpur.

He had earlier filed his nomination on July 10 but failed to supply a certified copy of the original electoral roll displaying his name.

However, Mr Narayan has not deposited the statutory deposit but it would ensure his nomination lasts till the scrutiny stage, said official sources.
