One killed, three seriously injured in road accident

Tiruchirapalli, July 18 (UNI) A man was killed and three others seriously injured when a trailer of a tractor detached from the vehicle accidentally and rammed into a roadside mechanic shop near International Airport here this evening.

Police said the injured were rescued by the police and fire service personnel and admitted to Government Hospital here.

The deceased was identified as Ezhilarasan(38) and hailed from town here.

The driver K Bhaskaran was arrested.

A case had been registered and investigation was underway, police added.
