One feared drowned in trawler capsize

Kendrapada, July 18 (UNI) One fisherman was feared drowned, while five others were rescued when a trawler capsized in mid sea of the Bay of Bengal last Monday, a delayed report here today said.

Police said six fishermen, including five Bangladeshi infiltrators, residing illegally in the Kharanshi village under Mahakalpada block of Kendrapara district were in the trawler when it capsized near Wheeler Island in the Bay of Bangal following a technical snag.

While the five Bangladeshi infiltrators were rescued, another fisherman, identified as Goutam Biswas of Kharanshi village, reported missing in the accident.
