No forcible land acquisition: Deshmukh

Mumbai, July 18 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today reassured the House that there would be no forcible land acquisition for the special economic zones (SEZ).

He stated this while making a statement on the adjournment motion about the ongoing agitation in Pen against the SEZ.

The adjournment motion was given by Leader of the Opposition Pandurang Phundkar and others.
