New lifestyle computing machines from HP stable

Bangalore, July 18 (UNI) HP India today announced a new wave of lifestyle computing machines providing consumers with unprecedented technology, design, style, service, information and insight.

Showcasing the 'Irresistible OOMPH' of its product range, HP India launched a first-of-its-kind, the iconic HP Touch Smart, India's first 20-inch-screen entertainment notebook 'The Dragon', and the revolutionary HP iPAQ 512 Voice Messenger in the Indian market.

HP India Director (consumer Products, personal systems group) told newspersons here that the HP had pioneered the concept of lifestyle computing with the introduction of several category-firsts, making the Ultimate Digital Entertainment experience a reality for the consumer.

''The introduction of the new range further strengthens our wide-ranging lifestyle portfolio and will help us grow the lifestyle computing market by around 50 per cent within this fiscal,'' he added.

He said the new range of products introduced would grow double the rate of growth of the Indian Personal Computer business which was currently around 25 per cent.

He said to further strengthen the leadership with an aggressive 'Go-to-Market' strategy, the company planned to expand its retail footprint across 500 cities and expand the retail partner network to over 2000 by the end of the current financial year.
