Karnataka: New case of chikungunya found

Madikeri, Karnataka, July 18: A chikungunya case has been reported in this plantation town in Kodagu district, health officials said today.

Doctors at Siddapur confirmed that Jansi (23) was suffering from the disease spread by mosquito.

It was said that Jansi, who had recently married into a family at Hunsur, had contracted the disease from her in-laws place. The family had now sent Jansi to Siddapur where she was being treated, the officials said.
