Moderate quake rattles West Bengal

New Delhi, July 18: A moderate intensity quake occurred in the shook South West Bay of Bengal this morning.

The tremor, measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale, took place at 0957 hrs, the India Meteorological Department sources said.

It was epicentred at 06.6 degrees North Latitude and 84.5 degrees East Longitude.

No casualty or loss to property was reported, the sources added.
