Journalism syllabus in MP Jail

Bhopal, July 18 (UNI) The next time you meet a scribe don't ask him where he studied journalism for his answer might be hard to stomach! A scheme is in place for initiating a journalism syllabus, with an electronic media component, for inmates and publishing a newspaper at the Central Jail here.

''I have contacted the city-based Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism in this regard. This might be the first experiment of its kind in the country. About 200 inmates have evinced interest and 50 will be selected,'' prison Superintendent Purushottam Somkuwar told UNI
