Kohima, Jul 18 (UNI) The Naga underground factions have accepted the five-point resolutions of the Joint Forum Working Committee(JFWC) adopted in Kohima recently for discussing issues regarding ceasefire.

In a significant development, the Joint Forum Working Committee(JFWC) of Nagaland Gaon Burahs' Federation(NGBF) and Nagaland Do-Basis Association(NDBA) had said this move would thus pave the way for a ceasefire among the various factions.

In a release issued yesterday by JFWC, Convenor A Taku Longkumer said the rival factions of NSCN and the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) had accepted the five-point resolution and all efforts would be made to arrive at an understanding during the period of the cease-fire.

The Forum decided to organize a 'small formal function' at its Monitoring Cell Main Office at the office complex of Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, on July 24 to 'formalize' the good gestures shown by the three factions.

The Forum invited representatives of the NSCN-IM, NSCN(K), FGN, Naga Hoho, Eastern Naga Public Organization, Naga Mothers' Association, Naga peoples Movement for Human Rights, Naga Students' Federation, Eastern Naga Students' Federation, all tribal hohos, Naga Council and Nagaland Baptist Church Council to attend the function on July 24 next.

There would be some special invitees which include Cease Fire Monitoring Group(CFMG) Chairman Lt Gen(Retd) R V Kulkarni and the leaders of different church organizations and public leaders, Mr Longkumer said.
